Respond to searches for missing individuals with California Explorer Search and Rescue (Cal-ESAR)– membership is open to motivated individuals (16 and older) male or female, with or without previous experience.


Join us for our Intro & Info Night- a 1 hour session for those interested in applying with a presentation and Q & A session.

Participants receive training in:

• Outdoor skills

• Wilderness Navigation

• First Aid

• Technical Rope Skills

• Snow Survival (optional)

• Search Techniques

• Rescue Procedures

• Emergency Preparedness

• Radio Communications
